Who are we?

TABI is a not-for-profit association run by unpaid volunteers with a passion for Tarot and the esoteric. We were formed in 2001 to provide support, information and resources for Tarot enthusiasts of all levels. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced reader, you are welcome at TABI, regardless of where in the world you are.

Our vision

Our aim is to offer a welcoming place where everyone interested in Tarot can be supported on their Tarot journey, no matter where you are starting from. Our active Forum includes threads for beginners and more experienced readers, and it is a treasure trove of information on Tarot, Lenormand, and Kipper systems. We welcome members and volunteers from around the world.

Our Aims

♦ To promote the highest standards of ethics in teaching and reading Tarot.

♦ To offer mentoring of a high standard.

♦ To promote Tarot as a force for good and development in a person’s life.

♦ To provide a network of fellow Tarot readers and enthusiasts for mutual support, discussion and experience.

♦ To provide information and inspiration via a website and regular e-magazine.

Our Code of Ethics

♦ Readings are in confidence between the client, the reader and TABI.
♦ Readings aim to help the client to take charge of their own life.
♦ Clients will be treated equally and with respect.
♦ Readers will be open-minded, honest and non-judgmental.
♦ If appropriate, readers will suggest that clients consult a qualified professional. (e.g. health or legal professional.)
♦ When a fee is due, the amount will be agreed prior to the reading.
♦ If at any time a reader feels unable to complete a reading, they will withdraw tactfully.
♦ Readings will not knowingly be given to clients aged under 18 years without permission from their parent or guardian.
♦ Readings cannot be given about anyone other than the client, and questions relating to others (e.g. third parties, such as partners, family members, colleagues, etc.) will be re-phrased or declined.

How do we work

TABI is run entirely by volunteers who can tailor their role to their skills and goals. Our Free Tarot Reading service is available to all members of the public. All Free Readers have worked through the Endorsement program, where they are supervised by an experienced reader. We have an established code of Ethics for Tarot readers and Endorsement mentors. You can see TABI’s volunteer structure below, along with the name of each current volunteer.
