    An interesting article!

    Hi all,
A friend of mine sent me this link to a very interesting article. Don't know what you folks feel about this, but I was gob-smacked. Have a read and see what you think!

£1500 for a 45 minute reading!?! And that spiritual mentorship package!! Just astonishing! Wow. I mean, good for her but I too am completely gob-smacked! That said, it is good to see tarot taken seriously in the msm, and great to have such an articulate take on it. Thanks for sharing

That's a mind boggling fee! But it does seem to be part of a larger trend where tarot is being used in settings it was previously scorned. I'm thinking of the mental health therapists who use it in therapy.

Goodness me, what an eye-watering amount of money. Quite obscene! I'm not quite sure what to say other than that! What's spiritual mentorship though?

I could imagine that if someone was offering daily support of a few hours every day over a month, they could probably get away with charging alot, especially if they are dealing just with high net worth figures like CEO's for whom it's probably peanuts, and who may associate a higher price with more value or exclusivity. I'm curious as to what a 'spritual mentorship' package includes. But clearly there are people willing to pay for something like this. As for the 1,500 tarot reading - I'm not sure I quite understand what they are getting for that compared to a reading you can get by TABI's awesome readers

I believe that when Sigmund Freud was criticised for charging so much for his analysis sessions replied that if he did not charge so much his patients would not get better!

There are therapists who charge large amounts of money because they are cornering the high end celebrity market and given she is hitched with Andrew Garfield, she would seem to moving in those circles.

I shall not say any more so as not to sound envious!!!

Quick question. On her website she says that she started out reading tarot in Glastonbury.

My journey began with offering tarot readings, quickly gaining a global clientele who sought me out in my tiny room above a crystal shop in Glastonbury.
Would anyone know where / when this was? Does anyone remember her?

Fascinating article thank you Magenta, it’s nice work if you can get it and I’m sure she has been more than able to justify her charges. What I did take from the article is the upcoming exhibition at the Warburg institute which I shall definitely attend..

That reminds me of a friend who was a massage therapist. She got some work at a high-end holiday resort, her hourly rate was 50 euros, but the owners said that she should charge at least 100 euros or they would think that she wasn't very good.

I must admit, I'd wondered about this as I'd not come across her before (and I've been around since the 1970's reading Tarot) and nor had anyone else I'd spoken to!
