Skype And Remote Readings

Microsoft have announced the closure of Skype, effective as of May 5. This is a bugbear already.
But when I opened Skype on the web just now, it looks as if they've taken the first step to closing it already. All I see is a numeric keyboard. Looks as if they've already blocked access to my chats, which means all of my clients.
Everybody who does remote readings for your clients - whether it be runes, witchrunes, astrodice, Tarot, I Ching, haruspexy - you'd better start making arrangements with your clients to port them over to a new chat engine like Google Chat / Meet. Even Discord.
Waste no further time. Get your people ported over to a new chat app today.

Thanks Alex, I don't use it for business but hadn't heard this was happening so it's a really useful heads up.

When I just logged in it looked as normal with no warning it was closing so maybe it's different by region (I'm UK based), however, it seems you can port everything over to Teams. This was seamless for me, I simply logged in to Teams with my Microsoft ID and it recognised who I was and all my contacts and chats from Skype were there.

Sorry to hear that this hasn't happened for you Alex but a heads up for others that they may not lose everything if they explore signing in on Teams.

Thanks Alex. As I only get scammers contacting me via my Skype I'm not sorry to see it go.

There's a notice on my Skype saying, 'Starting in May, Skype will no longer be available.' It looks like Teams is going to take its place.

UPDATE: I've logged into Teams and all my Skype contacts are there.
