DESCRIPTION:All sales of TABI conference tickets have now ended\n\n\n\nThe talks will all be recorded. If you have purchased an in-person ticket\, you will get links to the talks that you attend (i.e. Friday and Saturday both\, or Saturday only); if you purchase a streaming ticket\, you will get links to all talks. He started with a deck of ordinary playing cards before moving onto a Morgan-Greer pack of Tarot. He was invited by Richard Branson’s Virgin Books to create his own pack of Tarot having enjoyed a number of best-selling books with his publishers. Russell decided to create a pack of Astro-Tarot: combining both subjects that had become his staple. He was a student of astrology from 16 years old\, having been taught by Rita Szymanski of the Astrological Lodge. His Astro-Tarot pack was an immediate success. Russell geared his Astro-Tarot towards beginners with easy-to-understand images. Under his tuition\, he set up many courses and workshops across Britain and the USA. \n\n\n\nAt the conference\, Russell invites you to bring your own Astro-Tarot pack (we will also have these hopefully in your goody bags!) as he takes you through the meaning of the cards\, how he created his own pack and the spreads he uses and has done both privately and on ITV’s This Morning and other media. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTrue Tarot Intimacy: How to Get Closer to the Cards\n\n\n\nWhat is true Tarot intimacy? It goes beyond book learning. For me\, book learning was my foundation\, but considering how I felt about the cards and the fact that I have a changeable\, fluctuating relationship with each of them\, was the KEY to intimacy. (Examples: Three of Cups and The Emperor) \n\n\n\nSpending time with the cards is also a huge key to unlocking intimacy. Touch them\, look at them\, spread the whole deck out in front of you\, keep a Tarot journal\, invent stories with the cards\, consider different interpretations that you find from varied sources. Decide that you’ll give yourself dedicated time.  \n\n\n\nWe’ll go through a few exercises during this hour together. Feeling free to go beyond what you’ve read will also inspire intimacy. The cards have layers to them. Do your own exploring\, rather than just trying to stuff your head full of definitions you’ve read. Definitions are a starting point but they are not the whole animal. \n\n\n\n\nWhere do you need more intimacy?\n\n\n\nFind your bias\n\n\n\nLight and Shadow\n\n\n\nTarot timeline\n\n\n\nDating your distant card\n\n\n\nZooming in\n\n\n\n\nKelly-Ann is a qualified spiritual counsellor\, award winning Tarot reader and the published author of Rebel Witch – Carve the Path That’s Yours Alone.  \n\n\n\nKelly-Ann’s work is for ‘cycle-breakers\, non-conformists\, spiritual rebels and free-wheeling witchy types’ as described in her website at http://kelly-annmaddox.com. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nImagination\, Tarot\, and Magic!\n\n\n\nExplore the connections between Tarot\, Imagination\, and Magic! \n\n\n\nAndrea Aste is a multidisciplinary artist whose new “Book of Shadows” project combines Tarot\, a Graphic Novel\, and a Feature Film. With examples from this creation\, Andrea will share tips and ideas for a more fantastical approach to Tarot. \n\n\n\nNeil Kelso is a writer\, performer and theatre maker specialising in Magic and Mystery. He uses Tarot and Magic to tell stories. Neil will share examples from his cabaret and theatre shows showing new ways to see the invisible. \n\n\n\nTogether they founded Berith & Brimstone – the laboratory of esoteric innovation. \n\n\n\nExpect the unexpected and have your favourite cards handy for this interactive and thought-provoking presentation. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMandorla: The Healing Power of Tarot\n\n\n\nChris has created six published Tarot and Lenormand decks plus a soon to be published Oracle deck. \n\n\n\nWorking on The Son Tarot was more than just a publishing project however. The creation of the deck triggered a deep process of self acceptance and healing within him. Working with Tarot can never replace professional therapeutic help where needed but you can still find your own healing through the reading table. \n\n\n\nChris will share insights into his creative processes and help you connect with the Tarot as the picture book of your personal life story. Through this workshop\, Chris will guide you to turn the cards towards the past and the present\, giving you greater empowerment to face the future. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTime-Changing Tarot: Reading for the Household of the Earth\n\n\n\nIn this session\, based upon Caitlín’s forthcoming book\, Time-Changer’s Tarot\, we explore how our tarot can be a means of reading not just for personal guidance\, but for our community\, and the wider issues of the world. By stretching our spread cloth wider\, our questions become calibrated with the much larger events within our community and our world. \n\n\n\nBy reading with responsibility and accountability\, we too enable the world’s changes in a supported way\, making us prophets of the future world we hope to inhabit. \n\n\n\nPlease bring a RWS tarot for this session. \n\n\n\nCaitlín Matthews is the author of over 80 books\, including Time-Changer’s Tarot\, Tarot Médiéval\, and Celtic Book of the Dead.
