Deck size: 55 cards

My first impression of this deck was the nice, sturdy box, as are all Watkins Publishing products. I liked the green Malachite pattern to the box too.

The author, Athena Bahri has a very interesting background. She is a Reiki Master and comes from a Hollywood background and was herself a successful actress before leaving her life of glamour to devote her time to peace and energy healing.

The deck comprises 55 cards which are split into three sections; Reiki Precept Crystals, Affirmation Crystals and then Crystals for each of the seven main Chakras plus those for all Chakras. The cards themselves are large with good quality photographs of the crystals, but they are a little bit slippery to handle, and being the size they are, some people might find them difficult to shuffle.

The 163 page little white book (well, green actually!) has a lot of information on each of the crystal cards, plus a Quick Vibe Fix and a larger ritual that can be carried out with the card or actual crystal if you have it. There are several suggested card layouts/spreads too and anyone familiar with or has knowledge of the Tarot will recognise them. There are simple 1, 2 & 3 card spreads to a more indepth 9 card.

For example, for today (21st March 2023) I pulled Moonstone – key word is growth. The commentary on this card is about phases of light and dark and that each phase of our life is an important part of our journey. This is very apt for me right at this minute. The Quick Vibe Fix was to hold the card or a piece of Moonstone and repeat a mantra five times, which I did.

There are instructions for connecting to and cleansing the cards by Moon or Reiki energy and I am sure you could adapt these to your own system/beliefs.

As someone who works with crystals and uses them for both divination and healing work, I would use these cards.
