About the creators: Author, Lisa Biritz is a studied and practicing shaman, living in Hawaii and Austria. Artist, Petra Kuhne is a freelance illustrator who perceives her art as painted soul landscapes.

I have to say, I didn’t think this deck was my ‘cup of tea’. I don’t often work with oracle decks and when I do, I’m selective. The cards, while beautifully illustrated, didn’t immediately ‘wow’ me.

The cardstock is wider than standard size and because of this, I find them a little difficult to work with. They were stuck together out of the box, so the first few minutes were spent carefully separating them. This may have happened during shipping, and I was able to do so easily without damage. This minor inconvenience caused me to slow down and really study the cards. Some seemed ‘out there’, while others sparked my curiosity.

The guidebook opens with a section explaining the cultural and indigenous history, as well as related scientific research, that explains the significance of the connection between humans and the astral energy and beings depicted in the cards. The mention of Stephen Hawking is where I started really getting into it, and I went back to the beginning to read it all again.

The alignment of myth and science that continues throughout the card descriptions is enough to keep my attention, and the meditation exercise for each card provides an unexpected, and welcome, journey for insight and reflection.

In the end, I found this deck to be an excellent tool for anyone interested in the origins of extraterrestrial lore, as well as the science that helps explain our connection to the cosmos. I look forward to discovering new ways of looking at the stars, by working with this oracle.
