The Hafiz Oracle is a 44 card deck by Rassouli featuring stunning artwork that draws from the timeless wisdom of Persian poet and mystic, Hafiz. It comes in a hardcover box with a 128 page colour guidebook. The cards are large at 90mm x 140mm, with a matt laminate finish making the deck easy to shuffle, with quality card stock that feels substantial to the touch. The cards are borderless, and the slight oversize makes it perfect to see and absorb the detailed artwork, with its vibrant colour reproduction and excellent print quality.

The artwork on the back of the deck is very beautiful, featuring soothing colours and a subtle Persian influence.  The artwork is full of dynamic movement and depth, with each card a portal through which you may find soulful guidance and reflection.

The oracle is embedded with divine wisdom hidden within simple poetry and affirmations, expanded upon in more depth by the author.

Rassouli lives in California and has dedicated his life to illuminating a path to fulfilment and tranquillity through bringing to life messages of the great oracles of the world. The guidebook introduction outlines Rassouli’s connection to Sufism, and an understanding of Hafiz and his work. Hafiz was a poet who lived during dark times under the rule of Genghis Kahn across the Middle East, India and Russia. He formulated his messages of hope and wisdom, hidden and abstracted within song and poetry, metaphorically building a path to freedom.

The oracle is designed to find illumination and insight. Rassouli suggests using the deck when faced with a dilemma, to connect to divine guidance through the poetry and affirmations provided in the guidebook. The artwork asks to be considered with the card meanings in tandem, as they have been uniquely created to represent each specific message.  Rassouli has also drawn from his other works in creating this deck.

Each card is an embodiment of a spiritual being or goddess, ephemeral and sensuous, inspired by poetry and the realms of imagination to guide you through a snippet of each mystical sonnet. You might use this deck for insight, guidance and deep reflection and contemplation. Sit with each card and absorb the beauty of the artwork and the insight provided by the author with the translation of the timeless wisdom of Hafiz. The Hafiz Oracle would also add profound messages in combination with Tarot, adding insight through spiritual concepts and an expression of the human experience.
