This A5 size book is handy for popping in your bag to read on the go. Originally published in 2004, this is a reprint edition. Prospero, the author, resides in Brighton and his bio indicates that he is a friendly, knowledgeable man with a passion for his craft.

Unfortunately, he doesn’t tell us which tarot deck he used to illustrate his book, the images of which are in black and white. The images are easy on the eye and promote easy interpretation, but those of you who enjoy more detailed and coloured images may find them a wee bit “bland”!

His tarot spreads are interesting, and who doesn’t enjoy a new tarot spread to work with? It would have added to the depth of the book and made it more interesting if he had followed up each spread layouts with a sample reading; this would have helped the reader gain a deeper understanding of the reading process.
