Interview With My Deck: Tarot Del Fuego

Nic has been a member and volunteer for TABI for a little while, currently enjoying her role with the blog and newsletter. Having started tarot quite late in life she is coming back from another lull in tarot practice and has a new deck that she had to share!

First 4 of the 8 cards drawn

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIVE YOURSELF? – 10 OF PENTACLES
I am bold and stark. I have utter confidence in myself and know my roots very well. What you see, is what you get and that definitely includes the warts. Expect lots of uglies here.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF ME? – ACE OF WANDS
A few misguided steps – a mix of head in the clouds and swinging wildly to get results. There is potential but work is definitely needed.

WHAT TYPE OF READINGS DO YOU LIKE? – THE TOWER
Ones that tear down people’s ideas of what they “want” and to set them free. Liberate people from that stone cold tower they build that buries and entombs them. A reading that sets them free.

WHAT TYPE OF READINGS DO YOU DISLIKE? – THE DEVIL
Binding stories – the questions that stroke the narrative that the querent wants. It chains people to a sense of security that is really going to suffocate them in the end.

Last 4 of the 8 cards drawn

WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST STRENGTH? – KNIGHT OF PENTACLES
Driven to success, no matter what may come, what challenge. I don’t shy from the dark, the difficult. I can drive my meaning to the querent and deliver the message that they most need.

WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST WEAKNESS? – SIX OF PENTACLES
Tact may lack a little and I cannot be overly generous in heart-felt sentiments. People who come close hoping to hear what they want can expect to get cut or burned by the news. Honesty to a fault you might say.

WHAT CAN YOU TEACH ME? – THE HIEROPHANT
How to balance the head in the clouds attitude with the need for action itch. How to balance the idealist with that much needed order and structure that is so desperately needed.

WHAT DO YOU NEED FROM ME? – KNIGHT OF CUPS
Be open to the process. The smallest passion can become a war horse of a reality but you have to brave and not get overly fanciful, lost chasing idealism. Listen, accept and it’ll all go swell.
