Lieselle Elliot has over 20 years of Tarot experience and intuitive practice. She reads Tarot for individuals, and runs workshops throughout the Unites States and Australia. On her website, she reveals that ‘Her vision for The Eternal Tarot is to reach hearts across the world and help people realise just how powerful they are beyond their inner critic’s voice’.

The Eternal Tarot is currently Lieselle’s only published Tarot deck, and is beautifully illustrated by Sean Frosali, a Graphite artist.  His website has limited information regarding his works, but as you can see from the cards, they are intricately drawn and detailed with great talent.

The Lieselle’s Eternal Tarot is a beautifully crafted 78-card deck and guidebook box set designed to bridge traditional Tarot symbolism with fresh intuitive insights. From the moment I opened the box, it felt like a thoughtful blend of tradition and intuition—familiar enough to feel grounding, yet distinctive enough to spark fresh insights during readings.

One of the standout features of this deck is its balance between tradition and innovation. The Major Arcana closely follows the Rider-Waite-Smith system and symbolism, which makes it suitable for both beginners and experienced readers. However, what sets this deck apart is the subtle yet meaningful update in its imagery that gently encourages you to trust your intuition.

The Major Arcana follows the traditional archetypes, which makes the deck easy to connect with. The imagery feels subtly reimagined, offering new emotional layers and perspectives without straying too far from the roots of Tarot tradition.

In the Minor Arcana, each pip card includes a short phrase that encapsulates the key message of the card. This is an extremely useful feature for readers still learning how to interpret the cards, as this acts like a prompt to stimulate intuitive understanding rather than relying solely on memorisation. These mantras can feel like mini affirmations acting as a guide, prompting deeper thought, aiding journaling, or meditation practices for times when you want clarity without overthinking.

Artistically, the deck’s aesthetic is striking yet understated. The line work is detailed and symbolic, inviting you to slow down and really engage with the imagery. I also enjoy the more minimal colour palette, which gives the deck a timeless quality. This makes the deck feel less prescriptive and more open-ended, allowing your intuition to fill in the emotional tone of each reading.

The included guidebook is comprehensive, offering interpretations, key symbols, and numerological context that supports deeper study and interpretation. This makes the deck a strong option not only for spiritual growth but also as a teaching tool for those new to Tarot or looking to deepen their practice.

The guidebook is well written and supportive without being overwhelming, offering interpretations, key symbols, and numerological context that supports deeper study and interpretation that make it easy to deepen your understanding of the cards. I think this makes the deck particularly accessible for beginners, while still offering enough depth for experienced readers to appreciate. The detail each card goes into is extremely thought-out and provides a wealth of knowledge and reflection.

If there is a critique to mention, it is that some Tarot traditionalists who prefer strict or traditional interpretations might not resonate with the added mantras. Personally, I see this as a strength rather than a limitation—it is a deck designed to grow with you, that encourages intuitive interaction without sacrificing core Tarot structure.

My favourite thing about Lieselle’s Eternal Tarot is its unique packaging. The deck box opens at an angle, depicting the night and day with gold detail and displaying an affirmation that resonates well with me: ‘Trust your voice and then learn to trust the journey’.

Unfortunately, the cards are quite thick, so shuffling them in traditional ways was difficult.  Although the beautiful gold trim on the edges is stunning, after attempting to shuffle them several ways I found that the cards warped and did not sit back neatly in a pile after the first use.  This was disappointing and let the deck down.

Overall, Lieselle’s Eternal Tarot is an engaging, thoughtfully designed deck that blends classical Tarot with intuitive empowerment — ideal for both beginners and seasoned readers seeking to expand their interpretive language.

This deck feels like a gentle yet confident companion—one that encourages trust, reflection, and intuitive growth every time I work with it.
