The ancient Northern European concept of Wyrd is similar, though not identical to the more familiar concepts of fate and karma, but the main difference is that Wyrd is not fixed, definite or immovable. Imagine that you are a spider spinning an infinite web and with every cycle of your web you spin another layer upon previous layer, across time and space. Each point in the web where two strands have met is a single event in time Every event in time, every pattern on the web, has led to our present moment of our reality. The person we are today is the result of those past events and actions.

Wyrd reminds us how important are our actions in the present moment and how they may create our future, but also, how we can enact change to our past. How? We use divination to read these patterns, to project them into the past and the future to bring about change and to show us the best outcome. Let us take a journey across the Web of Wyrd, up and down the nine worlds connected to the mighty tree, Yggdrasil, that made up the ancient Northern European cosmology. We will take with us our divinatory abilities and our tarot cards, to provide the narrative, understanding and healing of the past and to create our best futures.
